Julie Converse

Julie was born and raised in Manchester, NH. From the time she was five years old, she vacationed on Newfound Lake each summer. In 2001, she moved from Manchester, to the country log home that her husband built in Allenstown, NH on 25 acres (near Bear Brook State Park) with her husband Chuck and son Keith. In 2012, Julie and her family fulfilled their lifelong dream of owning a home on the lake, by purchasing the old Thompson property on West Shore Rd, with 3 seasonal cottages and a year round home. Her husband is a general contractor, and together they have done numerous improvements to the property to include building their future retirement home in the fall of 2015. Julie and her family moved permanently to the area in the spring of 2016. Julie likes to spend time with family and friends. She likes to take walks on the beach, paddle board, go for a boat ride, ice fish, snow shoe and just spend time in the outdoors.  She also likes to knit or crochet the occasional blanket for family or friends.

Julie has always been interested in Real Estate. While employed at a local credit union, she handled all the fees associated with obtaining a mortgage. This was during a time when the Credit Union went through a period of home foreclosures. Julie got to see first-hand what goes into re-selling a foreclosed property, listing with a real estate agency and also through an auction. Having a bachelor's degree in Accounting, the knowledge of mortgages and the associated fees, Julie knows how to assist clients with the financial calculation of their home buying or selling transaction. She has a passion for a challenge and helping individuals achieve their goal. Over the years, Julie and her husband Chuck have bought, built and sold homes for the past 20 years and since 2012 have managed their three rental cottages at Newfound Memories on Newfound Lake.

Always having a passion for construction and real estate, she decided to become a real estate agent to help others with one of the largest financial transactions of their life; buying their first home or selling their current home to buy their dream home. Being exposed to the construction industry for over 20 years, inspired Julie to also obtain the Certified New Home Specialist and Residential Construction Certified credentials, to further assist clients that choose to purchase land and build their dream home.
